We are waiting for you at Kristinus Wine Estate with a small plate concept, local ingredients, biodynamic wines and plenty of love, with our constantly evolving menu. From Thursday to Sunday, for lunch, dinner, or wine tasting.

We are fortunate to have our restaurant located on a wine estate where biodynamic thinking plays a primary role, not only in winemaking but throughout the life of the estate. This is how organic eggs, herbs, and seasonal vegetables find their way to your plates.

And why Lokal47?

Lokal, because having ingredients from local producers is the most important to us. We have started operating our farmers market in Nagykanizsa. We are very happy to say that our producers are not just suppliers but also friends. We’ve learned that it’s worth fighting for quality, local ingredients and surely for the better tastes.

47, because our own estate is located 47 km away, where we also farm and source ingredients for our dishes. We have plenty of apple trees, some grapes, raspberries, currants, and we plant vegetables every year.

And our farmers market is also exactly 47 km away, in Nagykanizsa.

Currently, over 95% of our ingredients come from within 80 km. Overall, we work with several producers from Zala, as we also reside in Zala, but fortunately, we can source many things directly from near the restaurant. Such as Angus beef, fish, duck, and buffalo meat, most of our vegetables, pumpkin seed oil, eggs, honey, gingerbread to accompany coffee, smoked goods, sourdough bread, or cheeses. Not to mention Kristinus’s superb wines, homemade eggs, and their wonderful, 0 km garden.

We warmly welcome you to Kristinus Wine Estate & Lokal47 Restaurant in the picturesque village of Kéthely on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, for family-friendly, corporate, or social events. In our restaurant, nestled amidst the vineyards, we offer dishes made from locally sourced ingredients, elegant indoor and outdoor spaces, and Kristinus biodynamic wines or our homemade kombucha and syrups.

Our restaurant primarily caters to smaller (between 10 and 50 people) corporate and family events, but we also happily host smaller weddings (up to 65 people) on our terrace. If you need a conference room, the Wine Estate has a 10 and a 100+ person room, as well as a 35-person cinema room.

And if accommodation is needed, we have 10 aesthetically furnished rooms available on the Estate.

― FOR LOVERS OF OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES ―

Let's Picnic!

We love picnicking outdoors, so it was a given that we would make our producers’ products – and of course our homemade delicacies – available not only in restaurant settings. The area is full of beautiful spots, with a path through the vineyards behind the Wine Estate leading among the plots, complete with a map and even bikes available for rent at the Winery.

Lake Balaton’s shore is barely 10 km away, but if you choose a sunset picnic and also want to enjoy the proximity of the water, we definitely recommend a sailboat or the top of the Parapli vineyard!:) And we’re happy to take the basket also to the Kéthely hill chapel, the view from there is also beautiful and easily accessible with just over a quarter-hour hike.

And what’s in the basket? Naturally, all local delicacies – cheeses, cold cuts, creams, summer fruits and vegetables, homemade butter and jams, our own bread and syrup, and of course, there’s always a place for some sweets. And of course a bottle of Kristinus natural wine!:)
